KACST Showcases Biotech Innovations at BIO 2025

Riyadh: King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) is currently participating in the 2025 BIO International Convention in the United States, from June 16 to 19. Its involvement, as part of the broader Saudi pavilion supervised by the Ministry of Health, is a crucial step in the Kingdom's strategy to enhance its global scientific standing and foster strategic international collaborations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, as a national laboratory and innovation hub, KACST's primary objective at BIO is to highlight its cutting-edge research and innovations. It aims to expand its global network with research centers and attract strategic partnerships that will facilitate the transfer and localization of advanced technologies.

Such efforts are designed to support Saudi Arabia's transition to an innovation-driven economy and help achieve Saudi Vision 2030's goals of diversifying income and building a sophisticated technological industrial base.

KACST's pavilion features interactive exhibits of flagship initiatives such as the Saudi Genome Program and the Dengue Fever Biocontrol Project, alongside live demonstrations of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in medical diagnostics.
