Damascus: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched four volunteer medical projects in Damascus from May 10 to 17 as part of the Saudi Volunteer Program for Syrians, AMAL.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the project involves 32 volunteers covering specialties such as burn, deformity, and plastic surgery; pediatric surgery; pediatric cardiac catheterization; and specialized clinics.
Since the program's start, the medical team has examined 37 individuals in specialized clinics; performed 20 burn, deformity, and plastic surgeries; 14 pediatric surgeries; and 11 cardiac catheterizations, with all procedures reported as successful.
These efforts are part of Saudi Arabia's humanitarian aid through KSrelief to support vulnerable Syrians affected by the humanitarian crisis there.
