Jeddah: The moon entered its last quarter phase after midnight and remained visible in the sky until dawn, offering a beautiful celestial scene across the Arab world.
According to Saudi Press Agency, President of the Jeddah Astronomy Society, Majed Abu Zahrah, explained that the last quarter phase occurs when the eastern half of the moon's disk is illuminated, while the western half lies in shadow. In the coming days, the apparent distance between the moon and the sun will gradually decrease until the moon becomes a waning crescent at the end of the month, visible just before sunrise.
