Makkah: Over one million pilgrims from 79 nationalities benefited from the preventive awareness programs conducted by the Makkah Health Cluster under the "Hajj with Health" initiative during the Hajj season 1446 AH. The initiative aimed to provide essential health information and preventive measures to ensure a safe pilgrimage experience.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Makkah Health Cluster stated that the supporting subcommittee for preventive awareness intensified its efforts during the Hajj season through a series of awareness programs and field activities. These initiatives targeted both service providers and pilgrims, achieving significant impact locally and internationally.
In a proactive step, the committee organized virtual workshops for international pilgrims before their arrival. These sessions covered health awareness related to Hajj rituals, disease prevention methods, and safe mobility guidelines. The workshops were conducted in multiple languages to ensure effective outreach and understanding.
As part of its interactive initiatives, the committee distributed over 5,000 awareness gifts at pilgrim accommodations, the Haramain High-Speed Railway Station, and Mina. These efforts aimed to reinforce health messages in an engaging manner, making them accessible to all pilgrims.
The committee's efforts reached a total of 1,003,214 pilgrims, demonstrating the subcommittee's commitment to protecting pilgrims and ensuring a safe and healthy Hajj season. This initiative aligns with the aspirations of the Saudi leadership and Saudi Vision 2030.
