Riyadh: Public squares, parks, and open spaces across the Kingdom drew large crowds following the launch of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing's initiative that enabled fans to watch the Saudi national team's World Cup match against Uruguay in fully equipped public viewing areas.

According to Saudi Press Agency, families, youth, children, and visitors gathered to support the Green Falcons in a patriotic atmosphere. The strong turnout reflected widespread support for the national team and a shared sense of pride among citizens and residents.

The initiative is part of the ministry's efforts to activate public squares, parks, and waterfronts as community destinations. Municipalities prepared viewing areas across regions, cities, and governorates, allowing residents to enjoy World Cup matches close to their homes in safe and attractive environments.

The viewing areas will remain open throughout the Saudi national team's participation in the FIFA World Cup, giving fans the opportunity to support the Green Falcons and enjoy the tournament atmosphere.
