Roads General Authority Records Over 77,000 Vehicles Heading to Makkah on Key Routes

Makkah: The Roads General Authority recorded the movement of more than 77,000 vehicles on roads leading to Makkah on Dhu Al-Hijjah 6. The efforts are part of operational and organizational plans aimed at facilitating pilgrims' movement during the 1447 AH Hajj season and enhancing mobility efficiency across the road network leading to the Holy Capital.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the authority highlighted that Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road saw the highest volume of traffic with 23,804 vehicles. This was followed by Al-Laith Road, which recorded 13,403 vehicles, and the Taif-Makkah Road via Al-Sail Al-Kabeer, with 13,315 vehicles passing through.

Furthermore, Al-Hijrah Road recorded the movement of 10,296 vehicles. The Makkah-Taif Road (Al-Hada) had 7,544 vehicles, while the Makkah-Jeddah Road (Bahra) saw 4,757 vehicles. Additionally, the direct Makkah-Jeddah Road witnessed 3,933 vehicles.

The authority emphasized its continued commitment to maintaining field and operational readiness on roads leading to the holy sites. This includes monitoring traffic movement and enhancing safety measures and services provided to pilgrims, aiming to ensure smoother mobility and greater comfort during the Hajj season.
