Mogadishu: Saudi Ambassador to Somalia Ahmed Al-Mawlid met yesterday with Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamoud Ahmed Adan, with whom he discussed means to strengthen cooperation in various fields.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration between the two nations, particularly in trade and industry. Both parties expressed a mutual interest in enhancing economic ties and agreed to work closely on initiatives that could benefit both Saudi Arabia and Somalia.

The discussions also included plans to facilitate business exchanges and support for Somali industries seeking to expand their reach. Ambassador Al-Mawlid emphasized the importance of developing strong commercial links to foster economic growth in the region. Minister Adan highlighted the potential for Saudi investment in Somalia's emerging markets and reiterated Somalia's commitment to creating a favorable environment for foreign investors.
