Riyadh: The world observes World Lupus Day on May 10 each year to raise awareness about the disease's impact on the lives of those affected. The occasion also aims to educate the public on its causes, early diagnosis, and treatment, ultimately seeking to improve healthcare services for lupus patients.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in recognition of the day, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, in cooperation with the Saudi Society for Rheumatology (SSR), has launched an awareness campaign focused on lupus. The campaign serves as a comprehensive educational initiative designed to highlight the disease's most prominent symptoms, its effects on pregnancy, and how individuals can live with lupus through increased awareness and a strong understanding of the condition.
