Riyadh: Saudi Arabia, represented by Saudi Karate Federation President Dr. Musharraf Al-Shehri, participated in the 20th Asian Karate Federation (AKF) Congress, held Thursday in Shaoguan, China. The congress drew attendance from 27 national federations and was inaugurated with a speech by Asian Federation Vice President Rashid Al-Ali, alongside World Karate Federation President Antonio Espinos. The speech highlighted the accomplishments of member national federations in 2025.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the congress focused on the federation's 2026 agenda, which includes programs for the upcoming Asian championships and the Asian Games. Additionally, on the sidelines of the congress, Dr. Al-Shehri participated in an Asian Karate Federation office meeting, where the 2026 agenda was officially adopted, and discussions were held on the federation's administrative and technical reports.
