Mina: On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, held the annual reception at Mina Palace for dignitaries and guests who performed Hajj this year. The event was attended by prominent Islamic figures, government agency representatives, and heads of delegations, including the President of Mauritania, Mohamed Ould Ghazouani, the President of the Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Moiz, Vice President of Benin, Mrs. Mariam Chabi Talata Zimi Berima, and former Somali President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed. According to Saudi Press Agency, the ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from the Crown Prince. He expressed gratitude and congratulated Muslims worldwide on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, highlighting Saudi Arabia's commitment to serving pilgrims and ensuring the smooth performance of Hajj rituals. The Crown Prince also addressed the ongoing suffering in Palestine, urging the international community to protect civilians and promote peace in accordance with international legitimacy. Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, Minister of Hajj and Umrah, reviewed the extensive preparations and achievements of this year's Hajj season, emphasizing the integration and efficiency achieved under the guidance of Saudi leadership. Key advancements included energy projects boosting electrical capacity, an expanded transportation network, and enhanced healthcare facilities. The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Hussein, highlighted the objectives of Hajj in fostering unity among Muslims. He commended Saudi Arabia's efforts to promote reconciliation and support the Palestinian cause. Sheikh Mohammed Abu Al-Khair Shukri, representing the heads of the Hajj Affairs Offices, praised the Kingdom's dedication to facilitating pilgrim services and its forward-thinking Vision 2030 initiatives. He noted the significant infrastructure improvements a nd digital advancements that have enhanced the Hajj experience. The event concluded with attendees greeting the Crown Prince and sharing a meal. The ceremony was attended by notable royals and government officials, underscoring the importance of the occasion and Saudi Arabia's role in the Islamic world.
