Mina: The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) announced a historic electrical load of 358 megawatts on the second day of Eid al-Adha in Mina, marking a 4% increase compared to the previous year. The company confirmed the readiness of its technical teams, who closely monitored the network's performance around the clock, ensuring that no outages affected the service.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the SEC explained that it has sufficient backup electrical capacities in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and the holy sites. This infrastructure enables the company to provide a highly efficient and continuous electrical service, ensuring the comfort of pilgrims visiting the House of God. The company's operational plan is reportedly proceeding smoothly and as intended.
The SEC indicated that the implementation of the operational plan for this year's Hajj season involves the participation of more than 2,200 engineers and technicians. These professionals operate through 57 launch centers distributed in the central region and pilgrims' housing areas in the holy sites, ensuring the sustainability of the electrical service during the season.
