Cairo: The Saudi national football team under 20 years old held its Brazilian counterpart to a 1-1 draw during their clash in the second round of the Khufu International Friendly Tournament, hosted in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Brazilian team took the lead in the tenth minute. However, the Saudi team, known as the Green team, found an equalizer through Ammar Al-Yehaibi in the 39th minute of the first half.
The Saudi national team's technical director, Marcos Soares, opted for the same lineup that played in their opening match against Colombia. The lineup featured Abdulrahman Al-Ghamdi as the goalkeeper, with Nawaf Al-Ghulamish, Saud Haroun, Saleh Barnawi, Awad Aman, Abdulmalik Al-Harbi, Farha Al-Shamrani, Ziyad Al-Ghamdi, Ammar Al-Yehaibi, Hussein Al-Raqwani, and Talal Haji taking the field.
The Green Falcons' participation in the Khufu Championship is part of their preparation for the Under-20 World Cup 2025, scheduled to be held in the Republic of Chile on the 27th of next September.
