Search and Rescue Exercise to Respond to Maritime Disasters in the Kingdom’s Waters to Launch on Thursday

Riyadh: The 'Search and Rescue 46' practical exercise, part of the national plan for responding to maritime disasters in the Kingdom's waters, is set to begin next Thursday. The exercise will involve members of the Permanent National Committee from both the public and private sectors and will take place at the Yacht Club in Makkah Region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the exercise is organized by the General Directorate of Border Guard and aims to enhance readiness and evaluate the performance of personnel from various participating entities. It will focus on search and rescue operations, evacuation, firefighting, marine pollution control, transport operations, and the provision of assistance to affected individuals. The exercise also seeks to strengthen coordination and cooperation among participating agencies to ensure the safety of seafarers.
