Riyadh, President Macky Sall of the Republic of Senegal firmly condemned the escalation by Israel in the Gaza Strip and the resulting deterioration of the situation. He called for an immediate cessation of violence during his address at the Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh.
President Sall highlighted that the key to a peaceful resolution to the conflicts between Palestinians and Israelis lies in the establishment of two states in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions.
Furthermore, President Sall stressed that the purpose of this summit is to reinforce the implementation of the decisions made by the United Nations General Assembly on October 27th of the previous year, which pertained to comprehensive peace in Gaza. It is worth noting that Senegal, along with the majority of members, supported these decisions.
