Water Regulator Launches Campaign “Determine Your Consumption”

General

Riyadh– The Water Regulator launched its “Determine Your Consumption” awareness-raising campaign in collaboration with the National Center for Water Efficiency and Rationalization and the National Water Company, with the clear objective of raising awareness of water conservation and rationalization of consumption, as well as other possible ways for consumers to manage their monthly consumption.

The Water Regulator asserted that the National Water Company offered a consumption limit service to assist consumers in controlling their monthly consumption and ensuring that there are no internal or external leaks to conserve water, disclosing that this feature is available on the service provider’s application.

It clarified that the consumption limit service is available through the services of the National Water Company’s electronic branch, as well as the amount of monthly consumption is set by the consumer, so that the consumer will receive alert messages from the service provider if the consumer’s monthly consumption limit is approaching or exceeding the limit.

The Water Regulator emphasized that if the consumption limit is exceeded, the water service would not be interrupted, and that the consumption limit service is available to assist consumers.

The Water Regulator has established an electronic platform that allows customers to escalate water and sewage complaints to service providers in the case that they are dissatisfied with how the complaint was resolved after first going to the service provider in order to protect the rights of all water consumers.

Anyone with inquiries was urged to contact the Water Regulator via the @Water_Regulator social media account or the official website wr.gov.sa.

The Water Regulator is a government entity in charge of regulating service-providing operations in accordance with water law, with the exception of those related to generating.
