Bahraini Foreign Minister Meets with GCC Assistant Secretary-General for Legislative and Legal Affairs

Manama– Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani met today with Assistant Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for the Legislative and Legal Affairs Counselor Sultan bin Nasser Al-Suwaidi.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed aspects of legal and legislative cooperation between the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the GCC.

Under the Patronage of HRH the Crown Prince, Minister of National Guard to Inaugurate “Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit 2023” on 25 January

Riyadh– Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and on his behalf, Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard, will inaugurate “Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit 2023”, which will be organized by the Ministry of the National Guard, represented by Health Affairs, from 25 to 26 January, 2023.

The summit aims to consolidate the position of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a global gateway to medical biotechnology, through building global partnerships for medical biotechnology, and creating programs to develop the national pharmaceutical industry.

It aims at bringing together the key local and international players in biotech R&D and industry (RDI) and to formulate what will be the Riyadh Declaration for Biotechnology in order to make the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a gateway to thriving biotechnology. The summit will bring together taught leaders in the field to push the boundaries of the existing thinking and practice and propose innovative models and initiatives that will impact the country, the region and the rest of the world with direct impact on health and economy.

Justice Ministry: 52,000 Virtual Judicial Sessions were Translated in 2022

Riyadh, January 08, 2023, SPA — The Ministry of Justice has revealed that around 52,000 judicial virtual sessions have been translated through the Unified Translation Center during 2022.

The ministry said the center enables non-Arabic speakers to follow up on their cases, through the center’s translation service in 47 languages, adding that the translation service can be obtained easily by logging into the Najiz platform (najiz.sa).

Minister of Islamic Affairs Meets with Mufti of Akkar

Riyadh, January 08, 2023, SPA — Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh received here today Mufti of Akkar in the Republic of Lebanon Dr. Zaid Bakkar Zakaria, and his accompanying delegation, which is currently visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, they discussed a number of issues of common interest, especially those related to serving Islam, spreading moderation, and confronting extremism.
